Trust me on this (how do I know you might be asking?) because I know lol. Nah but on a real note I have been looking for ways to use somethings in my kitchen that I wouldn’t normally use, like watermelon rinds for instance. It’s not something you would normally think of eating, much less even using in any kind of meal, it is the complete opposite actually it is something we normally look at as waste. Now I don’t know if I can say am on the zero-waste trend but I am looking for more ways to use foods that we normally wouldn’t on a day to day basis, well most of us I should say.
Here is a back story on this, so umm umm this isn’t my first time using watermelon rinds in a meal, my last time was actually a bust to say the least and I just wasn’t a fan. I decided to make Curry Watermelon Rinds which originated from India. But am not one to give up on a challenge and had to take a quick wack out of it again. And this meal came to be, well smoothie I should say. What I love about this is it is different, refreshing, out of the box and just really good. Did I mention refreshing yes, Gurl right after you workout, drink a glass of this and feel amazing! I mean how many times have we thought of using watermelon rinds or better yet thrown them away? ………waiting ummm yup I know no shade its been the same for me so how about we step out of the box together shall we?

Balancing The Watermelon Rinds
You might be thrown off about the amount of sugar in this but the watermelon rinds is very reminiscent of cucumbers. Which has much of a blander taste similar to water. Rather you decide to use the watermelon rinds or cucumbers or zucchini they all produce a lot of water content. I don’t know about you I don’t want a bland tasting smoothie. LOL can I get water on the side of my water smoothie please 😒🤣
